Contemporary and traditional styles of fine art framing
With over 30 years of experience in the conservation of frames and artifacts, Bernacki & Associates, Inc. established an art framing service as a response to the requests of our clients. To direct our services, leading professionals in the areas of framing, conservation, finishing, and art handling have been selected to personally accommodate our clients’ needs.
Preservation Considerations
Our staff will knowledgeably advise on the care and display of art, photographs, works on paper, textiles, and other media. Framing is designed to ensure longevity with the employment of archival materials and techniques. We offer archival and museum methods of hinging and mounting fine art on paper and photographs. We propose UV filtering glazing and housing options to protect art from environmental conditions and exposure.
Perfect Presentation
It is essential that we attentively collaborate with our clients to select framing with a thoughtful, aesthetically pleasing design. Bernacki & Associetes offers a large selection of frame styles from historically inspired ornamented designs to mid-century molding, to profiles welded in raw steel. We offer traditional and aged finishes, contemporary polished finishes, and exclusive customized finishes. Our framing director will confer on the appropriate use of acrylic display cases and design presentation.
Custom Fabrication and Custom Finishes
In addition to the hardwood profiles, closed corner gilded frames, and length moldings, we provide in-house custom design, fabrication, and finishing services to achieve the extraordinary presentations that our clients envision. Our studio professionals provide the following features to custom frame options: wood carving, gilding, marquetry, custom inlays, traditional and modern finishes, leather application, tooling, and exotic materials, including bone, mother of pearl, shagreen, parchment, and vellum.
Consulting
In addition to the hardwood profiles, closed corner gilded frames, and length moldings, we provide consultation on collections to identify archival needs, interior design, and environmental exposures of potential display areas. We propose possibilities for preservation, archival considerations, design, and installation. Depending on the scope of the assessment, budgets and priorities for preservation and framing can be provided.
